Skuljetti

Back to Diving

Skuljetti means ‘Couple of Reefs’ and after walking over rough coralline limestone, two rocks do indeed come into view lying close together approximately 30m offshore. Between these reefs and the shore, the rocky seabed is only 5m deep and leads to a vertical drop-off. Directly below the two rocks, there is an interesting cave with a vareity of small corals and sponges covering its sides and ceiling. Outside the cave, the route follows the wall to the right around the bigger rock. Boulders of all sizes litter the seabed here, giving excellent refuge to many species such as grouper and brown meagre.
