Every week Maldonado Bistro organises wine tasting sessions in their open kitchen upstairs. The wine tasting nights are a great opportunity to discover more about Maltese and Gozitan wines. Each wine tasting is complimented with an all-inclusive dinner using fresh local produce. A great night to enjoy some local wine, explore a little bit about Maltese and Gozitan food culture, and socialise with other travellers visiting our precious little island of Gozo.
Two different formats are available, depending on which day of the week you book and your dietary requirements.
We try 6 different local wines including a welcome cocktail made from a Maltese sparkling wine. The pick includes a sparkling wine, white, rose, red, dessert wine, and liqueur wine.
The wine tasting on Tuesday is complimented with a 4-course meal (starter-pasta-main-dessert) which included fish and/or meat. The menu varies from week to week depending on seasonality and availability.
We try 8 different local wines. The pick includes 3 whites, a rose, 3 reds and liqueur wine.
The wine tasting on Thursday is complimented with a 3-course vegetarian dinner (starter-pasta-dessert). The menu varies from week to week depending on seasonality and availability.
The price of attending the wine tasting session is Eur48 per person. This is an all-inclusive experience including wines, food, water and coffee.
We also can organise a pick up service for guests coming over from the main island of Malta. Just let us know and we can pick you up from the ferry terminal in Gozo on arrival and take you back at the end of the night.
Before each wine tasting an optional 2-hour walking tour of Victoria and the Cittadella is available. Guests will be accompanied by a qualified and licensed local guide. The walking tour is an extra Eur10 per person.
The wine tasting starts at 7:30pm and ends at 10:30pm. Guests attending the walking tour are requested to arrive at 5:30pm.
For availability please contact the organisers by phone or e-mail.
