Every week Maldonado Bistro organises cooking class, guest will be given the opportunity to discover and make some traditional Maltese recipes. The cooking class will also include a visit to the main square which used to be the main source of food shopping.
On Friday we will do some traditional home cooking classics such as Sfineg ta’ l-Ancova (anchovy fritters), Bragioli (beef olives), and Mqarret (date diamonds). This is a hands-on activity where guests will be expected to roll up their sleeves and participate in the preparation of some genuine home-made cooking. This is also a great opportunity to explore a little bit about Maltese and Gozitan food culture, and socialise with other travellers visiting our precious little island of Gozo.
The cooking classes are held in our open kitchen situated above Maldonado Bistro. The room is fully air-conditioned.
The price of attending the cooking class is Eur42 per person. This is an all-inclusive experience including food, water and coffee.
We also can organise a pick up service for guests coming over from the main island of Malta. Just let us know and we can pick you up from the ferry terminal in Gozo on arrival and take you back at the end of the event.
The cooking class starts at 10am and ends at 14pm.
