It was often felt that Rock music was not given much prominence on the island of Gozo and this was the main reason behind the successful organisation of the first edition of ‘A Tribute to Rock Legends’ in 2018. Another successful event was organised in 2019, just before the pandemic struck and made the third edition of ‘A Tribute to Rock Legends’ wait for three years.
We’re now back and stronger than ever.
The Rock Troupers, a Maltese band made up of 12 musicians and singers associated with this genre of music, together with local band Roundhouse Kick, will be brining you covers by international bands including Iron Maiden, Mötley Crüe, Whitesnake, Judas Priest, Metallica, Queen, Rainbow, Uriah Heep, and Ozzy among others.

Wara li kien ilu jinħass nuqqas kbir għall-mużika Rock fil-gżira ta’ Għawdex, u wara diskussjonijiet ma’ Festivals Malta – fejn tellajna b’suċċess kbir l-ewwel żewġ edizzjonijiet tal-kunċert “A Tribute to ROCK LEGENDS” fI-2018 u ieħor fl-2019 – din is-sena qed intellgħu t-tielet edizzjoni bil-għajnuna tad-Direttorat għall-Wirt Kulturali fi ħdan il-Ministeru għal Għawdex.
Għal darb’oħra se noffru spettaklu kbir hekk kif se jipparteċipaw The Rock Troupers: band minn Malta li tinvolvi krù ta’ madwar 12-il mużiċist u kantant, li huma assoċjati ma’ dan il-ġeneru ta’ mużika, flimkien mal-Band lokali Roundhouse Kick. Waqt il-programm se jindaqqu wkoll covers mill-bands internazzjonali bħal Iron Maiden, Mötley Crüe, Whitesnake, Judas Priest, Metallica, Queen, Rainbow, Uriah Heep, Ozzy u oħrajn.
