Gharb’s village feast is dedicated to the Visit of Our Lady to St. Elizabeth. The feast includes not only marches but concerts by the local Viżitazzjoni brass band and lasts for three days.
Make sure you see the infiorata on the 7th of July just before the start of the procession at 7pm. The infiorata is An intricately designed carpet of fresh flowers arranged in a thematic design laid in the main square of the village right in front of the parish church of Għarb.
Outdoor activities:
Wednesday 3rd July at 9.30pm – Street march with the participation of Banda Viżitazzjoni.
Thursday 4th July at 9.00pm – Music programme in the village square
Friday 5th July at 9.00pm – Street march with the participation of Banda Prekursur and Banda San Girgor. At midnight there will be a fireworks display synchronised with music.
Saturday 6th July at 9.00pm – Street march with the participation of Victoria’s Leone Band. At midnight there will be a display of street fireworks.
Sunday 7th July
11.30am – Morning march along the streets of Għarb
7.15pm – The start of the solemn procession.
