Liquids are a state of matter between solids and gas. What about their structure allows your coffee to fit in your cup? Or your wine to pour? Why does lemonade spill but not the straw? Why are some liquids more runny than others?

The science behind all this is called Fluid Mechanics and Dr Anthony Galea, of the Physical Oceanography Research Group at University of Malta and officially Malta’s Best Science Communicator (winner of FameLab 2018), is the man to enlighten and engage us.
