A favourite of visitors and locals for more than 25 years, Tmun (formerly at Xlendi) is nowadays tucked away on the marina road behind a row of colourful Gozitan fishing boats. A choice of meat dishes is available but fish has always been the speciality, usually grilled, al sale (baked in salt) or cartoccio (in foil with gozo olive oil and herbs). And with local fishermen constantly padding barefoot across the street to deliver their daily catch it could hardly be fresher.
