Loved the time spent with family but the farmhouse could do with some much needed TLC particularly an upgrade to fridge (one available was too small for a 5 bedroom farmhouse - fridge freezer standard built in size and there were missing door shelves), clearing of blocked drains in showers and kitchen sink, repair to bunk bed railing (fell off at night), no dishwasher available, mattresses need changing, baby cots completely unsafe with side rails not anchored properly or held together with a rope. There were many minor repairs that could have been seen too without much expense. Overall we had fun but considering the cost of renting such a farmhouse you would expect the basics to be taken care of
