1. Taking the Public Transport

Gozo’s very conveniently covered by an efficient public transport system that runs till late at night on most routes. The Bus Terminus found centrally in Victoria, connects the main town to the villages, beaches and points of interest with punctual trips that cover the whole island.   You might want to check out the travel cards specifically planned for tourists who want to explore the island.

2. Car hire

For some travellers, car hire remains the best option especially if they want to be more in control of where they go and when.  Sometimes families with kids  might also choose to hire a car because it can make travelling with kids more comfortable and possibly less of a hassle. Similarly you can hire a scooter, with which you can venture through the most narrow of streets and paths.

3. Ride a bike

If you’re after a more active holiday, you can choose to rent a bicycle. Nowhere is really too far in Gozo though one must mention that the island does have some steep descents and the way back up might  require some effort.

4. Touring: Aboard a Segway, a Tuk Tuk or a Quadbike

When it comes to going on a tour of the island, there are different fun ways of engaging in this.  A Segway tour is an ecological means of transport. Alternatively if you’re after a rougher type of adventure you can opt for quadbikes.  Or simply book a Tuk Tuk that will take you around the island.

5. More touring: Hop-On Hop-Off Buses and Trackless Train

In Gozo, you can also use the Hop-On Hop-Off buses to wander around the island. You can stop at your favourite spots along the routes.   Alternatively there is also the trackless train that you can check out. This particular mode of transport is real fun especially if you’re in a big group and want to make the best of the holiday spirit.

7. Boat Trips & Water Taxis

All the above is land-based transport,  but in Gozo we urge you to consider enriching your holiday by touring the coast.  Boat trips and tours organisers can be found at the major harbours and beaches. Likewise there are water taxis that can shuttle you to Comino and back!
